SysTracer is an application that can help you detect changes in your system. It can scan your files and folders, your applications and even Windows' registry to show you what changes have been done to your system.

Ideally, you would compare two scans of the same system, taking the first scan as your starting point. The application uses "snapshots" to show you some key information about the system. By default, the snapshot will include information about your registry, running processes and applications, drivers, and even regular files. You can decide what information you want to capture in each "snapshot", too.

I can think of many uses for this application. Since it detects your system drivers, you can use it to troubleshoot non-working devices, or simply to look back and see what hardware you had installed at a certain moment in time. Keeping the global picture of what your registry looks like is also useful.

In the newest version of SysTracer there has been added a couple of new features and it also packs some improvements. You can now check information of DLL and EXE files scanned by the app. There are new "details" windows for the registry, files and applications tabs. This new version is more efficient, since it uses less hard drive space to store snapshots. Another new feature is the ability to exclude folders and registry keys. In short, SysTracer is a nice application to obtain detailed information about your system and keeping it in an easy-to-read way.
